It's not something any program likes to talk but it is de-commit season and the end of the recruiting cycle has a way of making things hectic as coaches move around and others make last-ditch efforts to snag recruits away from other programs. Arizona knows about this all too well after a big de-commitment season last year and already losing its top recruit in this class over the weekend.

While it's always more fun to look at potential commits, de-commits are part of this whole recruiting game too and we thought it would be a good idea to take a closer look at UA's class and any recruits who are looking around a bit.

* Scott Young: Donté Williams played a part in his recruitment, but for now it is not changing his commitment status. However, the San Diego-based defensive back is still looking at San Diego State and UNLV as visit destinations.

Decommit level: Cool Biggest competition: SDSU

* Darrian McNeal: I mentioned it in another thread but McNeal will visit Oregon this weekend after picking up an offer this morning from the Ducks. He has a strong relationship with Willie Taggart and this one has taken a real turn after UA went in-home with him last night. Because it came together so quickly it is tough to get a real gauge on where it stands but him taking this visit is not a good thing for UA. As an early enrollee McNeal is supposed to be on campus in Tucson next month.

Decommit level: Warm Biggest competition: Oregon

* Kurtis Brown: The longtime defensive tackle commit recenlty hosted Washington State for an in-home visit and it wouldn't be a shock to see him end up taking a trip up to Pullman. However, he is one who shouldn't mess around with the process. Arizona needs defensive linemen but this is one I could see the Wildcats really being bothered by if it goes further than it already has.

Decommit level: Cool Biggest competition: Wazzu

* Warren Jackson: Washington State is going to come up quite a bit in this thread and the Cougars have been on the Arizona receiver commit for some time. Right now he remains locked in with the 'Cats but it will be interesting to track as things play out. Nebraska has also taken a recent interest in the big receiver, but it has not yet turned into an offer.

Decommit level: Cool Biggest competition: Wazzu

* Cody Shear: Things have cooled off with this one a bit but a lot depends on what happens with Jim Michalczik. After his visit last weekend the UA offensive line commit feels more comfortable about the situation but Oregon State is still a program to watch with him as it hasn't quite given up on recruiting him.

Decommit level: Cool Biggest competition: Oregon State

* Jalen Harris: The legacy recruit has always been more open than most prospects in his same about leaving his options open outside of UA. Once he committed that went away a bit but schools continued to jump in to try and pull him away. Still it is hard to imagine him looking in another direction with his ties to the program. Having said that it won't be a shock if he takes a trip or two moving forward. Colorado is one program to watch with him.

* Austin Faoliu: Guess who? Washington State again. Faoliu has entertained a number of coaches for in-home visits and he'll take trips to Washignton State and Arizona State. This one is far from over and it will be a battle for the Wildcats to hold on to the Mater Dei defensive line standout. He is expected to be on campus in Tucson this weekend and it is an important trip for the three-star recruit. He has a good friend and teammate going to Wazzu and there is a big pull there. UA countered by offering his little brother recently.

Decommit level: Warm Biggest competition: Wazzu

* Matt Leo: The big defensive lineman from Arizona Western is expected at Oklahoma this weekend as the Sooners make a late charge in his recruitment. As a midyear enrollee Leo will have this weekend to see Norman and then no more visits before making a decision. The recruiting process is new to him and he has approached it as such meaning it can't be totally predictable. Anything really goes with him and it wouldn't be a shock if he flips. Right now that hasn't been the indication, but it's an important weekend for his recruitment. He has also taken a particular liking to Iowa State and was out there for a visit earlier this year.

Decommit level: Warm Biggest competition: Oklahoma, Iowa State

* Troy Young: The Arizona safety commit has been having coaches stop by for in-home visits, but it has been smaller schools closer to his home. It could just be some cold feet about leaving so far for college, but if he ends up going to Troy, South Alabama or Western Kentucky over UA it might just be better to let him walk at this point. Arizona certainly wants him but it will be interesting to see what happens. Right now the feel is it is more just part of the process than true indecision.

Decommit level: Cool Biggest competition: Troy

* Bryce Brand: The linebacker who has played all over the place will be in Tucson this weekend and it will be a good opportunity for Arizona to lock him up for good after he took a trip to Maryland last weekend. There are some who feel that means a de-commit is coming but I wouldn't go so far just yet. This will be an important weekend for the 'Cats to make their pitch and get him fully on board.

Decommit level: Warm Biggest competition: Maryland

* Delshawn Phillips: The junior college linebacker commit had Arizona's coaches in for a recent in-home visit, but he will see both Illinois and Syracuse this weekend before the dead period. Phillips has to make his final decision soon so a lot could change in the next few days. The plan right now is to enroll at UA next semester and right now it still feels like Phillips is just going through the process more than anything.
