It was going in the War Room today, but it is now becoming public. Damon Stoudamire will be leaving to rejoin Josh Pastner back at Memphis. This is something I have been hinting at previously, but one of the big things that the former Arizona standout really wants is to spend time with his sons who live back in that part of the country. Being an assistant at Arizona didn't afford him much time to do anything else and spending more time with his kids was a big part of this decision.

In addition to that being an assistant at Arizona is a grind and that is something Sean Miller takes a lot of pride in. It just doesn't leave a lot of time for much else and Stoudamire really wants to be able to spend more time with his sons over these next few years.

Being at Memphis will give him some of that extra time and he will be in closer proximity to his sons as well. So if you're wondering what the big reason is for Stoudamire deciding to leave this late in the game and why back to Memphis it is that reason.
