Checking back in with Arizona's current commits this week. We're still waiting for a couple more players to get their seasons going, but there was certainly some things to be happy with for UA's coaches based on the results this week. Most notably, wideout commit Jalen Johnson exploded for a big game Friday night in a win and he has a bigger test coming up this week.

Here's a rundown of the players who were in action and how they did as the high school season starts to get rolling.

Update: Gunnell and his St. Pius X team will play their season opener this Friday night against Beaumont United (Beaumont, Texas)
Update: Watson's Fresno-Edison team bounced back from a season-opening loss with a 41-35 win over Clovis West last week. No stats have been made available for the UA commit, but you can see him in the video below wearing No. 1 going up against the left tackle. Friday night his team will face Buchanan from Clovis, California – a team that features a few Arizona targets Jalen Cropper, Kendall Milton and Matt Merritt.

Update: Roland and his Knight team made the trek down to South Orange County to take on Tesoro in the season opener last week and came up short in a 39-7 defeat. The UA cornerback pledge came away with a couple tackles in the game.
Update: Wiley's Strake Jesuit squad will open its season this Friday against St. Thomas Catholic (Houston, Texas).
Update: After a rough start to the season with only one catch, Johnson had a very nice game Friday night against Glendora High. The UA wideout commit caught seven passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-21 win. His team will take on Tesoro this week in what should be nice test.

Update: Bradford's Skyline squad will take on another Dallas-area team, South Oak Cliff, as the UA defensive tackle commit will square off against fellow commit Derrion Clark to open the season this Friday.
Update: See above
Update: Morgan's Marana squad continued its nice start to the season with another win last week this time taking down Fairfax from up in Laveen, 26-0. Morgan had three tackles on defense and helped the team gain 99 yards on the ground and allowed just two tackles for loss. This week Marana will host Catalina Foothills as it looks to move to 3-0 on the year.
Update: We are still gathering information on Siaumau and his senior season at Leone High
Update: St. Thomas More's first game of the season will come against Nordrhein-Westfalen Green Machine from Dusseldorf, Germany on Sept. 8.
Update: Ostendorp's Desert Vista squad made the trip out to San Diego to take on Carlsbad High and left with another victory to move to 2-0 on the year. No punting stats have been made available for the Wildcats punter commit. This week his team will host Surprise-Valley Vista.
