Arizona's defensive improvements featuring Keshad Johnson

Hey guys, during the Pac-12 Tournament we had the chance to go into the locker room and talk to players after games. One player that I talked to was forward Keshad Johnson and we discussed the Wildcats' defense and how it has improved throughout the season.

This video hasn't be seen before given that this was essentially a 1-on-1 interview with Johnson.

Quick takes:


- I think landing Johnson has paid off for Arizona. He has brought a defensive mindset that the program hasn't had since Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. There is a toughness that he brings to the court that reminds me of Shawn Marion and the style of play is very similar between the two.

- Although Arizona struggled on the defensive side of the court in the middle of the season, I think this is one of the better defensive teams Arizona's had in quite some time and it could win them a key game in the dance.

- Having guys like Johnson that impact winning outside of the points per game category is critical and all high-level title contending teams need a guy like him that will do the little things to help others succeed.
