Arizona's coaches are making their way around the country to watch games both last night and tonight and that means making stops at schools as well. Scott Boone stopped by La Habra High in Orange County to check in on 2020 DB Clark Phillips and a few new offers have gone out as well.
Here is a rundown of who picked up UA offers today.
Atonio Mafi (2018/Junipero Serra (San Mateo, California) Cal commit)
Arizona continues to look for help in the trenches and Friday the Cal commit from Northern California added the Wildcats to his list. Mafi checks in at 6-foot-1 and 340 pounds, and the three-star lineman committed to the Bears back in June. Air Force, Hawaii, San Jose State and Yale are his other offers.
As of now I have not heard which side of the ball Arizona wants him to play but he plays a lot of offensive guard and he can play defensive tackle as well.
Spencer Lytle (2019/Servite (Anaheim, California))
The 6-foot-4 outside linebacker is the younger brother of Colorado quarterback Tyler Lytle but he has a much different skill set. The high three-star recruit is already building a strong offer list with 20 offers now on his list including schools such as UCLA, Pitt, Colorado, Oregon State, Indiana and Minnesota along with some Ivy League options like Princeton and Penn. In addition to playing linebacker he also plays tight end.
Ben Coleman (2019/Linfield Christian (Temecula, California))
Linfield Christian is coached by Arizona redshirt freshman cornerback Lorenzo Burns' dad, DeChon, and the Wildcats went back to the school today with a new offer for the next big recruit from the small school. Coleman is already making a name for himself with offers from Boston College, BYU, New Mexico, Oregon and Utah in addition to now UA.
Coleman has the skill set to play on either side of the ball but he projects as an offensive lineman at the next level. The Wildcats will be in the picture with Coleman as things move forward.
