Hey guys, Arizona hoops is five games into its season and has climbed to No. 3 in the AP Poll (new poll coming soon). I wanted to jump in and share my five takeaways so far this season.

Five takeaways:

- There is a different mentality with this roster. They don't think their going to win games, they expect to win games. It's a championship mindset that I haven't seen at Arizona since the 2013-14 team.

- Arizona is eight deep with three guys off the bench (KJ Lewis, Motiejus Krivas and Jaden Bradley) that could legitimately start for 95% of the country.

- This team has the potential to be the best defensive unit in the nation and near the defensive ability of the Aaron Gordon defense. The Wildcats have elite defenders at every level of the court.

- The high turnover numbers are a little surprising with three high-level guards handling the ball. I see a lot of lazy passes that have led to turnovers. That needs to get cleaned up.

- Caleb Love and Keshad Johnson have had a championship impact on this roster. Those guys have been through the battles and it shows.

What are some of your takeaways from the first five games so far?
