Maybe this isn't an apples to apples type of comparison but it is one that I think is fair. Minnesota has a top-10 recruiting class for 2021 and while it might be difficult to keep that pace up since they already have 17 commits, it is likely that they will at least have a top-20 class if the progress continues even if everyone else catches up. My point is when you make the right decisions and have the right people in place there's no reason that Arizona can't be on that type of level with a program like Minnesota. Most of the class is made up of three-star recruits with a handful of high three-star prospects and then just two four-star recruits, one of whom is from Arizona – Steven Ortiz.
In fact a couple of the commits have Arizona offers. It's not that crazy to think that a school like UA could be in that same position if it could find a way to build some kind of momentum. It's all about finding the right pieces to carry out that process and Minnesota has definitely done that with P.J. Fleck.
