Jason Harris. The four-star legacy prospect took an official visit to Colorado over the weekend and the buzz coming off the trip is that he could be closing in on making a decision in favor of the Buffaloes. As of now he's still going to take more trips from the sounds of it with an official announcement still planned for the end of the year but the momentum has started to shift as of late in favor of Colorado. Obviously, Mel Tucker has done a lot to get recruiting going in a strong direction for the Buffs despite the lack of production on the field this year and that has put the program in a good spot with Harris.
The family has not been secretive about its feelings for Boulder and with with Brenden Rice in Harris' ear as of late the recruitment has gained some steam for Tucker and his staff. I still have Arizona as my pick since this is pretty close to the same situation the Harris family went through with Jalen when he took a bunch of visits and had a lot of people thinking he would end up at Notre Dame only to stick with his original pledge and end up at Arizona. Now, Jason has not committed to Arizona so that is different and he has seemed more open to looking away from the family school but I'm still not quite to the point where I'm going to change my FutureCast pick just yet. But, it is something I will be thinking about as I gather more intel on the situation.
Not adding Harris to the class would be a big blow that Arizona won't be able to spin in a positive way. He's simply a recruit the Wildcats have to have in this cycle. It is going to be key for optics with this program. Losing out on a recruit who has two parents that played sports at the school and a brother currently on the team would be a bad look at a time when the program can't have any more bad looks.
