As many of you know I am a Michigan fan. This is a status and existence for me that constantly has tested my sobriety over the years. None of this is a joke, of course unless when I am joking then it is certainly a joke but anyway... I went through the Rich Rod years as a Michigan fan... I went through the Brady Hoke years. I saw years where Michigan had an offense but no defense. I saw years where they played defense but lost to Rutgers or somebody like that in a 9 to 6 shootout. I saw Jack Daniels bottles become empty suspiciously fast... I thought is someone else drinking with me ? I saw the floor getting closer and then I woke up. I saw Appalachian State beat us and everyone laughed and made AA battery jokes and then Oregon humiliate us like we paid for it with a credit card over the internet! That little event happened in 2007 basically Appalachian State was Mom and Oregon was Dad but instead of saying you wait till your dad gets home Appalachian State beat us until Dad got home...then dad got home. There is one silver lining in these dark days friends. Between 2009 and 2012 it was a young man named Denard Robinson. For us Michigan fans we had a smiling non shoelace tying charismatic humble crazy Lightning Fast athlete playing quarterback and he picked up our spirits! You guys have one of the funnest players I've ever watched play football when he's at his best and playing his game Khalil Tate. Khalil Tate is fun exciting charismatic humble and really even a better player than Denard Robinson was although I hate to admit it. Enjoy him while you have him he's going to give you some fun moments this year. He's going to give all of us some fun moments this year including me! He played a hell of a game last night I really really think he progressed and becoming more balanced as a passer and a runner! As the questionably late comic Bill Hicks once said life is just a ride enjoy the ride! Enjoy Khalil Tate Arizona is going to win some football games this year... And don't forget to tip your waitress. # encouragement
