I'm going to be covering the game from home while Matt is on the scene in El Paso.
The game was pushed back to 10:25 EST on ESPNNEWS until the USF vs Illinois game wraps up. It will resume on ESPN.
FIRST QUARTER
-Another kick off another touchback, Havrisik drops another one in the endzone.
-UTEP quarterback having some success and the Miners get two quick first downs through the air.
-Arizona gets help from a block in the back, and ends up holding on 3rd & 15. Wildcat ball.
-Nick Wilson sighting, his first rush goes for 1 yard.
-Dawkins makes a guy miss on 2nd & 5 moving into Miner territory. Nick Wilson stuffed for a short to no gain. Dawkins tries to keep it on third and long and is stopped short.
-Randomly, Dawkins is back to punt. 36 yard punt pins UTEP down on their own 7 yard line. Pretty athletic if you ask me.
-Jace Whittaker delivers a shot on #26 Walter Dawn Jr. Ouch. Nice TFL for the junior that'll be on his highlight reel.

SECOND QUARTER
-Dawkins completes a touchdown pass on a nicely designed play. Dawkins holds a play action going left with Nick Wilson, pulls the ball back and tosses a pass out of the backfield to JJ Taylor for a 2 yard touchdown. SCORE UPDATE: 7 - 0 Arizona. 4:07 on that drive, 12 plays 78 yards.
-Short kick off to the UTEP 30 yard line. I'm not sure the reasoning for that, I personally wouldn't sacrifice the field position for a chance at a botched return with the defense playing as well as they are.
-Dawkins gets leveled by Dante Lovilotte on the side lines after an 8-yard run. Hits like that aren't going to bode well for a "nicked up" number 13.
-A couple plays later Dawkins gets smoked by Miner #27 Cockrell, flags fly. Not a targeting but it goes down for a Roughing the passer with contact above the shoulders. Wildcat first down.
-Rich Rod looks heated on the sideline, clearly not happy with the officiating. Correction: that anger was directed towards the Wildcat offense, in particular the OL.

-Balls out!!! Colin Schooler with a textbook strip on Kavika Johnson. Guess who? Flanigan-Fowles with the fumble recovery. His stat line is looking good thus far. In three games he has 3 INTs, and a Fumble recovery. Wildcats take over with great field position.

-I don't know if it's just me but Kylan Wilborn continues to impress. He's playing great as a true freshman, in my mind remember his name 2 years from now. BIG PLAY! Mark Fields is also a big time playmaker as a freshman. Nice sack, forcing a 4th and 18.
-UTEP punts and Shun Brown knows what to do with it! 63 yard return for another Wildcat touchdown. Unreal balance staying up on initial contact, turns left and hits the turbo button. -Watching the replay, that was hilarious! The UTEP punter tried to slide tackle Brown. This ain't soccer my man. Brown is a good looking returner thus far this season.

-RT Gerhard de Beer with a beautiful lead block gets Dawkins loose for another rushing touchdown. That's three rushing, 2 throwing for 5 TD's on the night. 13 yard touchdown run. SCORE UPDATE: 42-9. Wildcats surpassed our predictions on the scoreboard, but for what it's worth I did say on the podcast if Brandon Dawkins had a big night they would outscore my 38-14 prediction.
-Torrez with a crazy throw on the run after being almost swallowed up by Dane Cruikshank for what would of been a big sack turned into a first down toss at the left sideline.
-Trick play! UTEP receiver catches a screen pass and tosses it to Kavika Johnson up the left side of the field for a gain of 38 yards.
-NFL bound UTEP OG Will Hernandez gets out in the open and makes a great block to spring Mark Torrez free on a 6 yard touchdown run. SCORE UPDATE: 42-16 Wildcats still in command.
