Rundown: Louisiana hasn't been as heavily targeted of an area under head coach Jedd Fisch as it was under Kevin Sumlin, but the Wildcats have at least continued to entertain the idea of recruiting the state under the new staff. Monday night the program re-offered a Louisiana prospect who had already previously been offered by Sumlin and Co. Three-star defensive back Jordan Allen was re-offered by the UA staff on Monday as his stock continues to rise coming off his junior season at Lafayette Christian Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana. The offer from Arizona's new staff was his second of the day as Purdue offered him earlier in the afternoon.

Arizona was one of his earliest offers in the process as the Wildcats originally offered him back in September with former inside receivers coach Theron Aych having strong connections to the state. Linebackers coach Keith Dudzinski will now have a big role in trying to land the 6-foot cornerback prospect amid some tough competition. Allen has nearly 30 offers already and is only continuing to see his stock rise. LSU has yet to offer him but that could be coming and it would be difficult for any program to pull him away from home should that happen.

For now Georgia and Miami have positioned themselves well in his recruitment, but he is approaching the process with an open mind. Only three Pac-12 programs have decided to offer at this stage but there is certainly a feeling that he is someone who could end up leaving home so it is worth giving him an offer to see where the process goes from there.

"I'm just keeping my options and eyes open right now, just trying to enjoy the process," he recently said.

Allen has good size and has the type of skill set coaches like to see in players in the secondary and that has helped him gain continued exposure and opportunities to play at the next level after an impressive junior season.

"God really blessed me with confidence and the ability to be myself," Allen said. "I am a technical corner and can really use my talent to be a good player, so I am really blessed with the ability to play at the highest level."

At this point the Louisiana recruit is not trying to make a quick decision especially since he wants to take in-person visits at some point before coming to a decision. Right now the feeling is that the NCAA will ultimately extend the recruiting dead period so that could mean Allen's opportunity to see schools across the country won't come until the summer.

While he continues to get to know programs and coaching staffs, Allen has some things in mind that he will be looking for in his future college program.

"I want to find a family atmosphere, a coaching staff that loves you for who you are and not just a football player," he said last week.
