Coming off its close loss to USC, Arizona has been active this week with new offers to 2022 prospects as the program gets a jump start on the next cycle. That has been particularly the case the last couple days and here are the two new defensive offers the coaches have made in the last 24 hours starting with one of the top recruits in the 2022 class.

Notable offers: Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah, Washington, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas

Rundown: The four-star athlete from Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth, California is currently rated as the 73rd-best recruit in the junior class. A versatile recruit, Ramsey will likely end up as a safety at the next level but he could play a variety of roles. Arizona is far from the first Pac-12 program to offer him as 10 others from the conference have already jumped in the mix with the highly-productive junior. Last season he collected 80 tackles to go along with four interceptions and 15 pass breakups as a sophomore. The Wildcats are going to continue focusing on recruiting safeties with a big need at the position heading into the coming years, so the offer for Ramsey shouldn't come as a surprise considering he is one of the best in California at the position.
He has the natural range that you expect to see from any high-level safety, but the thing that is going to get him attention from Arizona's program is that he also has the ability to come up and make a hit. His tackling stands out on film and there is certainly an aggressiveness that he plays with as well.
“I’m very physical," he recently told TrojanSports.com. "I’m versatile as well. I can play in the box and I can play the post safety. And I can man up against the slot tight ends and running backs. I bring IQ to the next level. Everyone has talent in college, but it comes down to IQ and technique."
When it comes to his recruitment you can see that there is no shortage of options. He recently mentioned Ohio State, UCLA, Stanford and Arizona State as schools standing out in addition to USC being in the mix as well. Arizona is certainly going to have to work hard to earn his commitment, but with an opportunity for immediate playing time there will be some appeal.

Notable offers: Hawaii, UNLV, Dartmouth, Penn, Princeton
Rundown: Someone Arizona will have a better shot to land is the impressive defensive end from Cathedral Catholic in San Diego. The 6-foot-4 recruit is not as well known as other prospects in California, but he recently took part in a camp and received some positive buzz off his performance there. It helped put him on the radar at Arizona and the Wildcats decided to offer him Thursday. Outside linebackers coach Andy Buh has ties to the area and he will lead the recruitment for UA. Moi is another Oceanside prospect, like Donovan Laie, and there are some good connections to the Wildcats because of that. He has good enough size and is versatile enough to play anywhere along the defensive line in UA's scheme giving the staff some flexibility should he ultimately come on board for 2022.
When watching his film you can see that he is very active at the point of attack and does a good job of getting up field and making plays behind the line of scrimmage. It sounds like he has good toughness and his list of Ivy League offers lets you know about what he has going on between the ears. He also moves well for his size and has an aggressiveness that the Wildcats are looking for up front right now. I suspect now that Arizona has offered him other programs will follow but he will be one recruit to watch in the next cycle.
