Most of the top-rated targets on the board have committed to other programs or no longer have Arizona in focus, so the staff has decided to start looking at other quarterback options in the class. The Wildcats made a couple quarterback offers this week with the latest one coming Saturday. UA will soon get a better feel for what the quarterback situation looks like as spring practice begins, but for now it is looking like UA is simply looking for more depth versus finding a true star at the position to come in and play right away. Here's a look at the newest offers at the quarterback position for UA.

Rundown: I left out the notable offer list because he doesn't have any. The Wildcats are the first Division I program to offer the 6-foot-3 quarterback and it is an interesting offer for the Wildcats. Quarterback coach Jimmie Dougherty is in charge of offering the quarterbacks and he decided earlier today to make things official and offer the San Diego native who is now living and playing ball in Texas. Fowler-Nicolosi moved from California to Texas in the fall so that he could have a junior season and it helped him put some good film together and grab the attention of the Wildcats. He started his career at Torrey Pines High School and is now at Aledo High outside Fort Worth.

The 2022 prospect has an impressive skill set and it's a bit surprising that more schools haven't become involved. He's going to be on the radar now, but Arizona clearly sees something it likes with him. He's got a good arm and can hit at all three levels plus he looks to be accurate with his throws. It will be interesting to see how much Arizona prioritizes him moving forward. The Wildcats don't necessarily need more than one quarterback in the class but I do believe they will end up taking a couple guys when all is said and done.

Notable offers: LSU, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, Boston College

Rundown: Earlier in the week the Maryland-based prospect is another quarterback who added Arizona to his offer list. Griffith is in a different position than Fowler-Nicolosi as he has several Power Five offers already. Arizona is the first Pac-12 school to enter the picture with an offer and that makes it a unique program on his list. Like his Texas counterpart, Griffith has decent size for the position and has an impressive arm. That is his biggest strength right now and something that has plenty of schools intrigued. Michigan was one of the early favorites in his recruitment so it makes sense that the Wildcats would get involved considering a couple of its coaches were previously with the Wolverines.

"He’s bulked up a bit and become a better athlete," Rivals.com East Coast recruiting analyst Adam Friedman previously said of the new UA quarterback target. "Griffith’s arm strength is outstanding, and in recent workouts it looks like he’s developed a better sense of timing with his receivers. Without any new live action performances to go off of, it’s hard to say how he’s developed when there is a pass rush, but it seems like he knows how to find the open receiver and get the ball out quickly."

High school football in Maryland is just getting underway and the Baltimore native certainly has a chance to see more schools become involved. He's only lost one game as a starter at St. Frances so winning is something he has become accustomed to as a football player.

Griffith has a GPA above a 4.0 so academics could end up being a big part of his future decision, and Arizona will offer him an opportunity to come out west making it an intriguing offer.
