There was some late smoke that things could be changing a bit and maybe a little bit of indecision that delayed the process, but in the end Ja'Marian Peterson decided to go with the school that has been leading the entire way as he announced his commitment to Arizona on Sunday giving him the chance to continue playing with his high school teammate Montrell Johnson.

Peterson is likely to be used as an outside linebacker in the 3-4 defense but he is capable of playing both defensive end and outside linebacker. He picked the Wildcats over a ton of other offers including schools such as Washington State, Illinois, Purdue, Boston College, Indiana, Memphis, Hawaii and UCF.

He wanted an offer from the Wildcats for a while but it took some time before the staff came around. Once he picked up the offer it was essentially the end of his recruitment.

Peterson is now the fourth commitment from New Orleans for the Wildcats in the class as Theron Aych's work there has started to bring some more results this cycle.
