Arizona has made another offseason addition by way of the graduate transfer route. New Mexico State defensive lineman Roy Lopez recently announced his plans to enter the transfer portal and it was clear that Arizona would be a player for him. Today, he announced that he has decided to commit to the Wildcats and return home to Arizona to finish out his career with the Wildcats.
Lopez played four seasons with the Aggies racking up 137 tackles and eight sacks, but because he only played in four games last year he will have a fifth year of eligibility. His father, Roy Sr., previously coached at Sunnyside High School in Tucson and he was also the longtime head coach at Marcos de Niza High in Tempe.
