Arizona is picked to finish fifth in the South Division in this year's preseason media poll and ninth overall in the Pac-12. That's right about where I expected the Wildcats would land. Utah was picked to win the conference and USC also received two first-place votes.
In addition to the preseason media poll, this year the conference named a preseason all-conference team as well and a couple Wildcats made the list. Junior linebacker Colin Schooler was named as one of the first-team linebackers by the media today. Meanwhile, redshirt junior running back JJ Taylor was named to a couple different teams. He was named to the first team as an all-purpose player and he was named as a running back on the second team.
