Just sad.

Some will say that we “overachieved”, I don’t think so, preseason predictions are meaningless, just fodder. After seeing the talent (Schooler, Tate, Fields, Taylor) we underachieved. Could have beaten Houston, Utah, asu and Purdue. Glass half full and you could say we beat 2 of those.

But that just isn’t RichRod and it just isn’t the program he’s built. Can’t win even the semi-big games like the Foster Farms bowl. RichRod has 3 wins vs LA schools, 2-4 vs asu, losing Pac-12 record and is 3-2 in bowl games vs Nevada, NM, BC, Boise St and Purdue.

Look at the last drive of the Purdue game. We win if we; make a tackle on 3rd down, instead our DB gets trucked. We can win but our injury prone TE drops a sure INT cause he’s playing DE because we’ve always had recruiting and developing problems. We win if out DB does the basic thing and turns his head when the WR does.

The better team wins. That better team? Purdue, a consistent bottom 1/3 in their league team who hasn’t been relevant since Drew Brees was there. Our HC who’s getting a longer leash because our preseason starting QB got hurt and Tate was given a chance is not better than Brohm.

Teams figured out RichRod, Rod Smith and Tate after 4 games in Oct. so much for innovative and dangerous offense.

More of the same folks. Next year is gonna be a better year but we’ll still disappoint in some major fashion, like lose to asu to not win the South but get selected to a good bowl game and get shellacked by a team with another better HC.
