Arizona has added a walk-on commitment from California guard Addison Arnold. He visited with the staff and was able to take in the campus Monday and made his decision during the visit. He has battled some tough injuries throughout his career, but he will give the Wildcats another body for the backcourt. At this point I don't expect him to play a major role, but with a roster that could end up being short on scholarship players it is certainly an opportunity for someone like Arnold to get on the floor more than in other years.

He had to have surgery on both his ankles during his high school career, but he was a star last season for his Royal High School team in Simi Valley. He averaged over 22 points and 8 rebounds to wrap up his career. His dad has ties to the coaching world as a longtime college coach. He was once the head coach at Hawaii while also serving as an assistant coach at USC, Pepperdine and Vanderbilt. Gib most recently served as a scout for the Boston Celtics.

Arnold is now the fifth walk-on player the Wildcats will have as part of the roster this season as he joins Jordan Mains, Grant Weitman, Washington guard Will Reeves and Tucson big man Will Menaugh.
