It's a monster game for Arizona here tonight at the Coliseum as the No. 22 Wildcats take on No. 17 USC in Los Angeles. Already an interesting time here in LA with USC playing a video of Clay Helton welcoming "home" Khalil Tate prior to the game. Not sure I've ever seen that.

It will be an interesting one, so make sure to stay locked in for updates from the Coliseum. And as always feel free to join the conversation!

1st QUARTER

- USC opts to receive after winning the toss and goes with Ronald Jones for the first two plays and gets a quick first down. Trojans not hiding what they're going to do tonight. USC just continuing to go all RoJo and a couple nice tackles by DFF and Cruikshank on this drive, one of which saved a TD. Huuuuuuuge stop for Arizona on fourth down. Arizona ball.

- Arizona goes with a run with JJ Taylor to get things going then gives it to Tony Ellison on second down bringing up a third down; JJ with a first-down run; Tate with an overthrow on first down; Tate is sacked by Chris Hawkins to force a punt and the snap is low and USC's John Houston returns it for an early score [SCORE UPDATE: USC 7 Arizona 0 - 9:29 1st quarter]

- A strong return from TJ Johnson gets Arizona a shorter field to work with and Shun Brown goes 12 yards on a running play to get UA another first down; USC doing a good job of getting to Tate already; Tate continues to get flushed out of the pocket with nowhere to go and it forces an Arizona punt; This time it's a good punt and goes all the way to the 2-yard line for a 52-yard punt for Josh Pollack

- Ronald Jones goes for 98 yards on the first play for USC but there's a holding call ... no TD; Scottie Young Jr. didn't play on the first series but he's back in now and came up with a tackle early on the drive; USC just running it down Arizona's throat right now as Jones already has over 50 yards in this one; Jace Whittaker had an easy pick six but he dropped it ... it wouldn't have mattered with Scottie Young getting the personal foul call on Darnold; USC with a nice screen pass call on third down to extend the drive; Dane Cruikshank with a huge interception in the end zone. Arizona is going to have to come up with a few turnovers in this one because it's not stopping that USC offense otherwise

- Arizona aided by a personal foul penalty has the ball moving on this drive; A critical third down and Tate just leaps for the first down, the Wildcats huddled up on the third down play and it looked funny; [END OF THE 1ST QUARTER]

2nd QUARTER

- After Tate is slowed down on third down Arizona brings in Lucas Havrisik for the 45-yard field goal [SCORE UPDATE: USC 7 Arizona 3 - 14:17 2nd quarter]

- USC can't get anything going on its drive but it goes for it on fourth down after a couple timeouts from each team and just gets the first down preventing the drive from stalling; USC penalty pushes the Trojans back and a big third down comes up after Dereck Boles gets a tackle on Darnold; Darnold finds Tyler Vaughns for 22 yards and another USC score [SCORE UPDATE: USC 14 Arizona 3 - 8:50 2nd quarter]

- Arizona takes it out to the 15 and that is where it will start its next drive; A quick couple plays for Arizona brings up an early third down after Tate overthrows Ellison; Nothing going for the Wildcats and a punt gets brought back across midfield

- Dereck Boles gets a nice tackle to start the drive; Darnold finds Steven Mitchell for a 29-yard touchdown right over Lorenzo Burns who never turned around [SCORE UPDATE: USC 21 ARIZONA 3]

- Arizona goes to Shun Brown on the first day for a nice 8-yard gain; Tyrell Johnson had to be attended to after the kickoff but he jogged off the field; Johnson comes back in the game and gets seven yards on an end around; Critical third down for Arizona forthcoming after it takes a timeout to get regrouped; Tate looks deep for Tyrell Johnson and gets the pass interference call giving the drive new life; Tate too strong for Johnson in the end zone; Lucas Havrisik boots through the 43-yard field goal to get Arizona some more points [SCORE UPDATE: USC 21 Arizona 6 - 2:14 2nd]

- USC comes out moving the ball and quickly moves into Arizona territory; Lorenzo Burns with a nice PBU on the first down play on a receiver going over the middle; Darnold has all day to sit in the pocket but overthrows Trevon Sidney on third down; USC punts it away after originally having the offense on the field

- Arizona runs it on first down then goes deep on second down but it never had a shot; Arizona hands the ball off on third down and the teams trade timeouts; The Wildcats punt it away and USC will have one play from its own 48

- The ball gets batted down and the half is over

JJ Taylor: 8 rushes, 23 yards
S. Brown: 4 catches, 32 yards
