Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch announced today that quarterback Gunner Cruz will likely miss around six months of action after it was revealed that his injured thumb will require surgery. Cruz will not play in any other games this season leaving just one scholarship quarterback, Will Plummer, the rest of the season. Walk-on quarterbacks Luke Ashworth and Brayden Zermeno will serve as the backups to Plummer. Fisch took some time to give his thoughts on Cruz, other injuries, the possibility of Jamarye Joiner being used more at quarterback and much more during his Monday press conference.
