Two-way 2023 athlete Nicholas Fernandez just announced his commitment to Arizona at a ceremony at his school a few minutes ago. He is the 19th commitment for the Wildcats in the class. He plays on both sides of his ball and has just as much promise as a tight end as he does a defensive player, but the Wildcats like him as an edge rusher. He'll begin there but the eventual plan is to move him inside over time.
He's helped his team secure a 10-0 record this season.
Boise State and Colorado State were the other two schools most in the mix. USC expressed some interest for a bit but it never turned into much beyond that. Still, he's a solid recruit with some untapped potential. He has a chance to become a really good player once he focuses on one position.
