The NBA Summer League started today in Orlando, Florida. Former Arizona Wildcat Aaron Gordon made his debut for the Orlando Magic. The young forward looked timid in the early going, his first two shots did not find the rim at all.

It appeared that he was forcing issue with unnecessary dribbling and errant step-back jumpers. Granted, the Summer League is a small sample, but it is evident that the San Jose native's adjustment period will be a lengthy one.

In the closing stages of the game, Gordon took another ill-advised three-pointer, but made up for it on the other end with an emphatic block where he snatched the ball out of the air.

The Magic were able to withstand a final push from the 76ers and win the game 83-77. Gordon scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in the victory.

Orlando plays again on Monday, July 7th against the Houston Rockets. This will be the first NBA meeting between Gordon and Nick Johnson since they declared for the Draft in April.
