Kylan Boswell could very well end up as the top point guard in the 2023 class when all is said and done. He's currently unranked, but there might not be a prospect out West who has helped himself more than Boswell during the summer recruiting season. He won a title with his high school team (Corona-Centennial) in California only to continue helping his travel ball squad (Team WhyNot) on the Nike EYBL circuit eventually win the Peach Jam for the 16u division. Now he is making a move.

Boswell is leaving arguably the top program in California last season to join a growing group of talent at Chandler's AZ Compass Prep. The in-state school has attracted some of the top prospects in the country to its roster this offseason, and now Boswell will add his name to that list. In a bit of a surprising move Boswell will be making the move to Arizona to finish out the next two years of his career, and that obviously is a good thing for the Wildcats considering he will be even closer now.

The talented point guard already took advantage of his new home by making a trip down to Tucson over the weekend as he had an opportunity to see Tommy Lloyd's program up close. Arizona has quickly made Boswell a top priority in the last couple months. Lloyd had an opportunity to watch him at the Section 7 event in Phoenix and after he shined there the Wildcats decided to offer.

Boswell talked up UCLA quite a bit during my conversation with him earlier in the summer, so getting him out of Southern California and into Arizona certainly won't be a bad thing for the Wildcats. One interesting note is that Boswell is not a native of California. He is actually from Illinois and still has connections to the Midwest, so his recruitment is one that could end up taking him back home.

For now, though, Arizona is probably the program with the most to gain with his decision to move to the desert.
