I will get to all of the messages as soon as I can, but just wanted to provide an update on things with the football team since I've been away almost completely pretty much the last two days. So camp will officially wrap up Saturday with an open scrimmage. It will not be a practice as it is supposed to be an outright scrimmage and will be as game-like as the staff can make it.
Today the team will have a light walk-through practice this afternoon and there will be no media availability afterward since local media day is tomorrow afternoon.
Saturday will be a busy day overall with the annual trip to Fort Huachuca taking place after media day as the team will make its way down there for dinner with the troops before returning back to Tucson for a day off Sunday. Monday begins the regular-season practice schedule meaning the team will go Tuesday-Thursday. Normally there will be a press conference on Monday but since there is no game things will just get going on Tuesday with practice.
I will return to Tucson tonight and we will have full coverage from media day as all the newcomers will be available to speak.
As a personal aside, I appreciate the support from everyone here through this tough time in my life. I'm now on the road to living the next part of my life and I'm thankful all of you have stuck here allowing me to do something I love.
