Delaware point guard Kory Holden is going to be a hot name this offseason when it comes to transfers. The Maryland native scored 17.7 points per game this season and shot it well from 3. Holden recently announced that he would be transferring because he was just not happy with the level of play and losing at Delaware and Arizona put in a call for him yesterday showing some preliminary interest. Maryland wants him too, so there is going to be some competition, but for Arizona it makes sense.
Holden is a sophomore so he wouldn't be eligible to play next season, but it would give UA a point guard option for 2017 where the program has made it clear it wants a point guard. He averaged 4.2 assists this season.
