Since you have been starting all the threads and now the season is finally here I thought I would start one.
- Could you comment on the team chemistry again? I know some chatter but this team seemed to play harder and together more so than the last 2-3 years.
- Gunnell looked good. I can't tell you what a relief it was for a QB to hit the hot route routinely against the blitz. I loved/hated watching Tate play. He was amazing with what he could do but it seems like he never accepted there is more to playing QB than being able to throw a touchdown on any play or make a spectacular play with your own talent. He was terrific but just seemed to have a little something missing from the position.
- What a difference a new DC made! Amazing to think what it would have looked like with the talent that left. It actually seemed like everyone knew where they needed to be and they really did cause SC issues at times with both the pass rush (when was the last time we had one of those) and stopping the run. Agreed we ran out of gas but that is going to be an issue every week due to the lack of numbers.
