Arizona snuck in three-star cornerback McKenzie Barnes last weekend for a visit when he was supposed to be going to Oregon. It was a nice move for the UA staff and Chris Singletary in particular to get him on campus and now he's already ready to decide. He plans on making his decision Aug. 12 and right now Arizona is the favorite to land him. He has not visited Oregon or Washington State, which are the other two main competitors for his pledge. It will be something to monitor closely in the next couple weeks as the 6-foot-2 corner could very well be closing in on his pledge to the 'Cats.

It would be a nice get considering Arizona beat out Oregon to do it, but that will not be the end of it. He's going to take official visits so it'll be another one to buckle up for as it moves along.

Here is an update from Adam Gorney taking a look at his recruitment and upcoming decision
