heard Nic Alliotti on satelite radio talking about both our favorite scum bag competitors today. when asked about who would be OR new HC coach he said he has no inside info but he would be surprised if OR didn't make a run at J Wilcox @ Cal. guy went to OR & played there & has ties there. w/way PN dumped OR way have no doubt myself.
He was also asked what he thought about Hermie at ASSu & what they are doing w/CEO coach. said he has never met Edwards & seems like a nice guy & probably be able to recruit in "living room," (I sure have my doubts but topic for another post). he did talk about how B Bowden had done CEO deal at FSU in later years but he had done it w/asst coaches he had hired & knew thouroghly & trusted. He also said never seen it work where HC didn't hire anybody & didn't even know any of assistants. not like NFL. he went on to say that this is 1st time he has ever heard of where at 1st staff meeting all the coaches would have to wear "name tags" so head coach would know who they were! even if introduced to 9 guys by name wouldn't remember names at end of mtg. didn't say it wouldn't work but sure had never heard of it working before.
also said if he had pick for coach of year in PAC 12 it would have been co-coaches between Graham & RR
