On ESPN.com today there are 2 new articles that do a amazingly good job of explaining what D's must do to stop up tempo/spread teams and 2nd talks about how much more physical spread/up tempo teams have become. Still spread field and are fast but much stronger & physical up front. In 2nd on physical spreads they quote RR.

You read these 2 and it becomes hugely clear what RR is doing. Why he recruits players for both O & D that he does & what he is trying to accomplish with super hard & intense off season workouts. Saban talks about all american D tackle he had 3 years ago that weighed 350# and said he could not play now.

Everything we have discussed on msg boards is all here. Even the mighty Saban must adjust & he knows it.
Even more, you can follow what they say you must do & realize others that are/have not adjusted in how they play &/or how they recruit. That don't say who but you can figure it out.

reading these you can see what RR up to w/both his DL & OL, especially OL. RR wants to spread you out and then beat the snot out of you up front & true freshmen OL just can't give you this. Watched FB in 60 last night & saw AZ/Ca & AZ?AssU. AZ's OL was good but it just didn't bludgeon DLs. Believe you will see a lot more of it this year. Reading articles it becomes very clear where RR is taking AZ & how he intends to get there.

Also, I always thought missing OR for next 2 yrs is good deal but not playing CAL in CA is a real big deal! And guess who gets to both play OR & travel to CAL? Of course, our good buddy Toddy and AssU. CAL is going to score lots of points & going to make life miserable for a lot of teams
