Arizona ended its week with another full-pads practice Thursday night and things continue to play out for the Wildcats. Arizona will have two practices during the week before Friday's open practice in the evening. Here are some quick notes from tonight's practice.

* As for the open practice Rodriguez said it will not be much different than what his team normally does. He said it could end up being a big boring for TV since it will not be the full-on scrimmage that a lot of teams do. He is going to try and get fans involved, but for the most part it will just be a normal practice and should take about two hours. That practice will of course be open to the public.

* With Tellas Jones going through his situation and not currently with the program Arizona has needed some extra help at safety so Jarvis McCall has been moved to safety where he is playing the spur position now. The move just happened this week so it is still new, but so far so good with the transition.

* Jahmile Addae said there have definitely been some different things that he has wanted to do with the safety group and while he didn't want to throw anybody under the bus there is some things he is changing that is different than what Matt Caponi and the old staff wanted the team to do. It really is starting from the ground up with his new safety group and he likes the progress. He also said the transition has been easiest for him because he knows so many of the guys he is coaching now.

* Rodriguez said that Marquis Ware has been doing a lot more taking than giving to the program and it's time for him to start giving back. It is a pivotal spring for the linebacker and Rodriguez said now that he is getting healthy he is expecting more from him and for him to start living up to what they need him to be.

* Tony Ellison has continued to be a hot topic around practice as he has been for a while now, but Rodriguez said he is ready to be part of the starting rotation now. He has been someone who has been in that position before and it just never came to be last season that he would get significant time on the field, but Rodriguez is saying now he is ready.
