Arizona has been busy this week getting out new offers to recruits after the final week of the July evaluation period. The Wildcats are looking at both the current and upcoming classes.
* 2018 five-star forward Cameron Reddish picked up an offer already this week with Arizona coming through for the 6-foot-7 recruit from Westtown, Pennsylvania. Reddish currently ranks No. 6 overall in the 2018 class.
* In addition to Reddish another 2018 recruit to pick up an offer this week was four-star forward Emmanuel Akot from Mt. Pleasant, Utah. The 6-foot-6 recruit fits into the point forward role with his size and ball-handling ability and he currently checks in at No. 54 in the 2018 rankings.
"A 6-foot-6 small forward, Akot is the rare prospect that can legitimately be labeled as a “point forward” due to his ball handling ability and more importantly his passing ability, particularly in pick and roll situations," wrote Rivals.com's Dan McDonald recently. "He’s not super confident in his jump shot from deep, but did hit some jumpers off pull-ups in the mid-range."
Akot is originally from Canada.
* Arizona offered two West Virginia-based recruits on Monday as well both in the 2017 class. Both are currently unranked but have started to get more attention coming off the live period. First is shooting guard Luke Frampton from Poca, West Virginia. The 6-foot-4 recruit can really shoot it.
In addition to Frampton the Wildcats also offered Chase Johnson a forward from Ripley, West Virginia. The 6-foot-7 recruit also picked up Florida and TCU offers to go with the others on his growing list.
