Arizona has added legacy tight end commit Jake Peters this evening. The Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic prospect was on campus with his father, John who played at Arizona in the 80s, for a visit this weekend and the Wildcats were able to get him to pull the trigger Sunday night. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder was on the fast track to being one of the most recruited players in Orange County before an Achilles injury forced him to miss his entire junior season. Washington offered him last year before the injury but smaller schools had jumped in since then.
Arizona was the first Power Five program to offer Peters after the injury. He was hoping to get some more senior film out there before committing but the coaching staff made it happen and he will follow in both his parents' footsteps to Tucson.
