I'm at adidas Nations this weekend and Kobi Simmons and Rawle Alkins are working with the college group. I have to say Simmons has impressed me. A year ago at this very event his shot selection was awful and he wasn't looking anything like a point guard and definitely not one who would be playing for Sean Miller. However, he has adapted his game from the looks of it and he is doing a lot of "Arizona" things now. He's doing a good job of initiating offense and not just looking for his own shot.
I've also been really impressed with his defense. He hasn't been just willing to play defense he's been effective at it. If the staff can have him playing like this he's going to push for a ton of playing time this year and they might have to start him. Obviously this is just a small sample size and not with the teammates he'll have but the potential issues many people (including myself) felt could hinder him at the college level have very much diminished from what I've seen the last couple days.
