Longtime Arizona safety commit Jaiden Dockery will not be headed to play for the Wildcats after all. The previous staff had cooled on him and that was the reason he didn't sign in December since he was basically encouraged to look at other options, but there had been word that the staff was at least becoming more interested in him and looking into that possibility. Ultimately, the two sides have gone in different directions and Dockery has opted to go to Memphis. That late smoke was apparently just smoke. He doesn't do interviews and so it is hard to pick up on exactly what is going on with him but he recently put "Arizona commit" back in to his Twitter bio and was posting more Arizona-related things to social media, but this is not surprising in any way based on how things had gone for the last several months prior to the early signing period. The word is he was hoping the new staff would give him a shot, but that ended up not being the case as the staff got more into it and he was again encouraged that other options would be better for him.

It opens up a spot for the Wildcats and gives the program some more flexibility in the 2018 class.
