So, Rich Rodriguez held his final weekly press conference this week and there was of course lots of talk about the Oregon game but also the defensive line that is incredibly banged up right now. In addition to Dereck Boles, Justin Belknap and Luca Bruno all getting injured in the game Saturday I saw Marcus Griffin walking around with a boot on today. Arizona is in a real tough spot up front and the staff is meeting today to talk about the options.

Rodriguez said Parker Zellers will play if he does everything he needs to this week after being left home on the Oregon trip for a violation of team rules. He expects that to happen, but UA still needs some more bodies there with Rodriguez not sounding too confident about getting any of the injured guys back this week.

It was proposed that he could move an offensive lineman over to the other side and use him for the game and Rodriguez said all options are being thrown around right now including that one. Arizona has some other options of players who could help slide in there and Trevor Wood is one I thought of. He played defensive end as a freshman when the Wildcats needed help on that side of the ball and with UA only needing someone for 10-12 snaps it might make more sense than converting an offensive lineman who hasn't done it since high school.

Either way Arizona is in a spot it doesn't want to be in right now.
