It's game week, the first press conference of the season will be underway roughly around 2pm. I'll be providing live updates as they come, with a full report and video coming later on. Stay tuned.

Rich Rod is really proud of his guys, notes a drama free off season and the guys have some pep in their step this week as they're all ready to hit someone other than their teammates.

Rich Rod feels they have three starters at the RB position, he's happy to have Nick Wilson and JJ Taylor healthy.

The "or" between Brandon Dawkins is not as big as it may necessarily look on paper. Rod's confident in both the guys at the top of the depth chart as well as the two freshman.

Notes they didn't have to scale back much scheme wise even with the young guys and inexperience, they all picked it up pretty well.

Very pleased with the freshman linebackers, as you will see many of them on the field come saturday.

Luca is the starter at Nose Guard, they are considered co-starters but Bruno in Rich Rod's mind is the starter.

Notes Larry Tharpe should be included in the 2-deep, "will play in multiple positions within the defensive front."

Some of the players you expected to be on the two deep that are missing from the depth chart are missing because of injury reasons. Injury report will come out on Thursday.

Mentions the Grambling State game last season has no relevance to this year and NAU being an FCS team. He's focused on Arizona.

Notes he's seen at least 10-12 guys in the building today on their off day today. Weightlifting, receiving treatment, and watching film on their own.

Rich Rod's excited to see what this teams made of, "we've got a lot of exciting players, this team will be fun to watch."

Fun fact - Coach doesn't own a bobble head but hopes he can get a Gronk one for his office.

Rich Rod on 2 on 2 basketball with Dabo Swinney against Shaw and Urban Meyer, it was "hot & humid and only last about 15 minutes." Notes he took the most shots but Dabo made more and they beat them pretty good.

Forthcoming news on new indoor practice facility "there's been some momentum building"
