Four-star San Diego receiver/defensive back Jerry McClure, who has amassed an impressive offer list, is down to four programs. Arizona, UCLA, Washington and Indiana have made the cut eliminating some major programs including USC, Michigan, Oregon and Tennessee among others. The Wildcats hosted McClure on a few different visits, and he's been one of the top priorities this fall. The versatile recruit could play on either side of the ball, but the Wildcats are looking at him as a future receiver.
Kevin Cummings watched him play earlier in the season, and the staff has been keeping tabs on him for quite some time now.
UCLA seems to have the buzz behind the scenes, but I would watch out for Arizona here. He keeps things pretty close the vest so there could be a surprise in store, but Arizona has gone a good job with him and has been the most consistent. He already has one teammate, four-star linebacker Tre Edwards, going to UCLA and if there is a program that I could see him at instead of Arizona it would be that one.
I've watched him on a few different occasions and he definitely fits what the staff wants with his versatility. He will probably end up on the outside but could very easily move the slot and still contribute at a high level.
As the graphic says, he will announce his decision next Tuesday.
