So last year at the Rivals Camp in California a monster of a kid showed up and lit up the camp. When I asked "who's that?" I was told "he's an eighth grader." Today Arizona has offered him and the 6-foot-5 2021 prospect who was nicknamed "Born Ready" that day in Los Angeles already has a massive offer list.
Kevin Sumlin has been recruiting Aaron McLaughlin, the Georgia-based quarterback, for over a year now and offered him about this time last year when he was not yet a ninth grader. The two had a conversation today and he was offered again by Sumlin at UA.
“Kevin Sumlin is a great coach, I like coach (Noel) Mazzone and the offense they run," McLaughlin said after his offer from Sumlin at Texas A&M last year.
At this stage he already holds offers from over 20 programs with Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Michigan, South Carolina, UCLA and USC being some of the schools on that list. He's everything almost any program would want in a quarterback and he certainly has a good relationship with Sumlin. It's going to be a long time before he signs but he will be one to know about in the years to come.
