Arizona added the commitment of another scholarship specialist today as Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy kicker Tyler Loop gave the program his pledge as he wrapped up an official visit to the school. Lovejoy has been on a lot of trips over the course of this year and he had plenty of interest from all over the country with programs such as Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas Tech and South Carolina being among the programs that have shown interest in the 6-foot kicker from Texas.
He was offered by Jeremy Springer back in June so he had to wait until the start of the season to take an official visit, but the Wildcats were able to lock him up for the 2020 class once made the trek out to see things. He has been rated as high as No. 2 on Kohl's Kicking's top kicker list, but right now he is currently rated as the eighth-best prospect in the class. He is a punter as well, but he is rated as the 54th-best punter in the class.
Loop will come to Arizona as a kicker, however.
