Martin is a throwback kind of linebacker that patrols the middle of the defense and makes a bunch of tackles. He is a big hitter at linebacker and a very instinctual player. A very "Don Brown" type of player that is rarely out of position. He is a leader on the field and does a good job commanding the defense. He shed blocks well and is a sure tackler, especially between the hashes. Martin does a nice job in coverage but he'll need to make sure he doesn't get too big. Speed is the main concern for Martin.
