It's been a busy weekend for Arizona with a couple transfer visitors taking in Tucson over the last couple days. The Wildcats don't have much room, but that hasn't stopped the coaching staff from being aggressive in recruiting this spring to fill out the roster for this year and next. Transfers have been a big part of the focus up to this point and two of the most notable players UA has been involved with came out made it out for visits.

Former five-star big man and Nevada transfer Jordan Brown finally made it to Arizona for a visit after teasing about his trip back when he was going through his original recruitment. The Wildcats tried back then to get him out to Tucson, but he ultimately went with the program closer to home and never made it to UA for that official visit. Now the second time around the staff was able to make it happen and it's an important trip as UA is one of the major players in his recruitment as he looks for his next home.

Brown didn't have the season you would expect a five-star recruit to have at a mid-major school as he averaged just 3 points and 2.1 rebounds last season in 10 minutes played per game. The 6-foot-11 California native played in 33 games for the Wolfpack and started one. While there is a feeling he could ultimately end up returning to Nevada when all is said and done he has been very open to being recruited once again and Arizona has been right there since his plans to enter the transfer portal were known.

He has not used his redshirt season so he would preserve his eligibility as he sits out this upcoming season should he ultimately decide to leave Nevada.

Baker is someone Arizona was looking at back in the 2017 recruiting cycle when he backed off his early pledge to Cal. A ton of schools became involved with the one-time four-star recruit from Southern California when that happened and Kentucky ultimately won out. A knee injury has hampered his career up to this point as it forced him to redshirt in his freshman season in Lexington. He played this season but didn't get the opportunity it looked like he once would playing just an average of 9.1 minutes while scoring 2.3 points and hitting on just 31 percent of his 3-point attempts.

It prompted him to look elsewhere once the season ended and with shooting being one of UA's biggest issues in recent seasons the Wildcats have become a big player in his recruitment. The 6-foot-4 guard was known for his ability to hit shots during his high school days and despite his low shooting percentage in this last season there is still confidence he can get back to the level he was at entering college. In addition to that he is known as a lockdown defender and that is something else that can help Miller's team down the line.

Barring a hardship waiver, Baker will have to sit out the upcoming season and will lose that year of eligibility since he already used a redshirt season during his career. At this point he would be eligible to play for UA in the 2020-21 season but he would still take up a scholarship on this year's team.

ASU, Marquette and San Diego State are other programs in play right now as well. One thing that could ultimately play into UA's favor is that he played for the same travel ball program as incoming freshmen Nico Mannion and Josh Green, West Coast Elite, so there is a connection there.
