In the other thread we discussed some of the notable 2015 recruits expected at the Pangos All-American Camp this weekend, and now we will take a look at some of the notable 2016 prospect being recruited by Arizona who are expected to be in Long Beach, Calif., this weekend for the event.

The Wildcats are already well on their way in the 2015 recruiting cycle with commitments from two top-25 prospects in Tyler Dorsey and Justin Simon. However, as the recruiting world continues to speed up college coaches must follow suit and have plans for the following classes as well. UA has already established some prospects as targets in the 2016 class and a few of the notable ones are expected to be in attendance this weekend.

Derryck Thornton: The Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep point guard has continued to emerge as one of the top prospects out West in the class. Along with having the size that you like to see in a player at his position Thornton showed a lot by being the point guard at a school like Findlay last season as just a sophomore. That helped his leadership skills come a long way as his skill set has continued to develop. Arizona was one of the schools to get involved early with the four-star prospect, and he has held the Wildcats up high over the course of his recruitment so far.

Thornton will have a great chance to test his skill set against some of the other top point guards, including one in his own class - Lonzo Ball - at this weekend's event.

T.J. Leaf: The El Cajon (Calif.) Foothills Christian prospect exploded on the scene as a freshman and that has continued now into his sophomore season. Leaf has had a productive spring with Compton Magic Elite so far, and he will get his chance to showcase his abilities against some of the other top prospects at his position this weekend as well. Leaf earned an offer from the Wildcats back in December after putting on a big-time scoring display in front of Sean Miller at the Under Armour Holiday Classic. At around 6-foot-8 the four-star prospect has the ability to do so many things that it makes him one of the more versatile recruits in his class.

Leaf can really shoot the ball well, but he can also distribute and rebound it as well. The 17th-rated 2016 prospect recently said that Arizona is among a group showing the most interest right now, and the Wildcats are certainly one of the options Leaf is looking at.

MJ Cage: While Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei basketball has been Stanley Johnson for a while now, one of the supporting prospects on the future Wildcat's high school squad was the four-star big man. While Cage is still coming into his own as a recruit he has made big strides over the last year. The 6-foot-9 recruit consistently posted double doubles during his sophomore year as he helped Johnson and the rest of his team reach another state title.

Cage is athletic for his size and he can really rebound the ball well. His offensive skill set is still developing, but he makes a big impact on the defensive end of the floor consistently. The big man has some big offers to his name already, and Arizona is one of the schools that has already jumped in.

There is still a long time until Cage gets close to any kind of decision, but there will be plenty of options once he gets down that road. Traditionally the camp setting makes it difficult for big men to really set themselves apart, but Cage runs the floor well so it will be interesting to see how much he can showcase during the event.

Things get started Friday night at the Pangos All-American Camp and the event will run until Sunday afternoon.
