I caught up with Arizona defensive end/linebacker target Evan Weaver tonight to talk about how things are at this stage. He said the Arizona offer is a big one for him at this stage, but he's keeping things open. The three-star said Arizona is selling him on being similar to Scooby Wright in the way he approaches the game, and after talking with him tonight he certainly has that "OKG" mentality.
He is very matter of fact with what he says and knows what he wants out of the college experience, and really just fits the mold personality wise of what Arizona is looking for in its recruits. I'll have a full update later, but just from spending some time with him on the phone it is easy to tell why the 'Cats offered and continue to keep up with him as the process plays out.
He said he wants to take some visits this summer and then he will narrow things down to a top five after that. Arizona sounds like it is in good shape at this stage.
