Here's some stats from the two Arizona commits who are playing in the Adidas Gauntlet event in Orlando.
Justin Simon: The four-star guard commit from Temecula (Calif.) Temecula Valley has continued to perform well after his pledge to the Wildcats. Simon has continued to fill up the stat sheet this weekend with his Gamepoint squad. In his first game Saturday the UA commit scored 12 points to go with seven rebounds, and six assists. He played just 17 minutes in the next contest and was held scoreless in a loss.
Simon was able to bounce back from that with a nine-point, seven-rebound, and three-assist effort in Gamepoint's next contest. After that he wrapped up the second day of action with a game in which he scored 13 points, pulled down six rebounds, and dished out two assists.
Today, Simon started the day off with a 13-point effort that included seven rebounds and two assists. He finished things up as more of a distributor finishing a win with five points to go with seven rebounds and seven assists.
Tyler Dorsey: The five-star guard commit continues to have a good spring with the DreamVision squad that features plenty of other big-time recruits, and his scoring ability is something that has continued to shine over the last few weeks. That continued over the weekend for the Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco recruit. Dorsey started the weekend off with 16 points and four rebounds in a win. In his next game the future Wildcat didn't shoot the ball well from the field but he did get to the line quite a bit to score 12 points as well as grab seven rebounds to go with two assists.
Saturday's action wrapped with Dorsey playing just 14 minutes and that led to him finishing with six points and one rebound on 3-of-4 from the field. The 2015 recruit didn't play during Sunday's action and he tweeted that he has finals next week so he was catching an early flight back home to California.
