Arizona made the decision to offer 2019 punter Kyle Ostendorp earlier today and it didn't take long for him to decide what he wanted to do as he has just made his commitment to the Wildcats public a few minutes ago. The Phoenix-Desert Vista standout is currently rated as the No. 77 punter in Chris Sailer's rankings for the 2019 class.

Her is what Sailer wrote about the new UA commit on his site: "Kyle is a very good high school punting prospect that shows potential to be great. A big, tall, strong athlete with an ideal frame for a college punter. He punts for excellent distance. His hang time needs to improve to move higher up the rankings. The tools are there to do so. I look forward to working with Kyle again. I expect him to do very well in Las Vegas this coming May. One to keep a close eye on. Nice prospect."

Ostendorp has had a good spring and could see some more offers come his way, but it was certainly a quick decision by the 6-foot-2 punter who also plays linebacker for his school.

"From being a little kid and watching the games on TV to my first unofficial visit, I have always dreamt of playing for such a powerhouse program like this," Ostendorp wrote in a post on Twitter.

It is the first commitment for special teams coordinator Jeremy Springer and it comes at a position he has been working hard at recruiting for the Wildcats this spring. Arizona wanted to have a punter in this class to step in and build around for the next several years and there were a bunch on the radar for UA. The state has some very talented specialists each season, so getting an in-state prospect could certainly make for a strong commitment once things are all said and done.
