Tough one in Game 1 of the series in Los Angeles as Arizona falls in the ninth on a walk-off walk allowed by Preston Price. Starting pitcher Chase Silseth was brilliant in the game as he allowed just two runs in 6.2 innings. He gave up five hits but had nine strikeouts and one walk in the game. Still, the Wildcats' bats were quieted by UCLA's pitching staff for most of the game. UA did manage to tie it with two runs in the eighth inning on a two-run home run from Jacob Blas. The Wildcats had the momentum heading into the ninth but ran into some trouble with Preston Price on the mound after an impressive eighth inning. He walked the leadoff batter on four pitches, after a fielder's choice Price gave up an infield single that second baseman Kobe Kato made a bare-handed play on to try and get the runner. The throw was a bit rushed and got away from Kato allowing the runners to advance to second and third. Price intentionally walked the next batter to set up a double-play opportunity but then walked the final batter on four pitches allowing the Bruins to pick up the win. Price didn't receive much help from the umpire in the ninth, so that is one that is going to sting for a bit for UA especially after the comeback in the eighth.

First pitch for Saturday's game is at 2 p.m.
